Keynote Captain Gerald Coffee and President Mark Schlafly to Highlight NEBC Opening Session
FSC/ACC is proud to present what will be an unforgettable opening general session during this year's NEBC. Our 2008 keynote speaker, Captain Gerald Coffee, will share a memorable message that showcases the true meaning of leadership, how to seize opportunities and the invincible human spirit. In his presentation, "Beyond Survival," Captain Coffee will take you on a heroic journey through his seven years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam, and his equally unique experiences on returning to the U.S. From these experiences, he offers extraordinary insight into current economic, political and social issues that you won't soon forget. Our opening session will also present your first opportunity to hear directly from FSC/ACC's new President & CEO, Mark Schlafly, about the
vision that will drive future plans for our firm, and for supporting our
valued advisors.
Your second day general session on Wednesday, Oct. 15, will provide an equally compelling presentation. Renowned photographer Dewitt Jones, who has won numerous awards as a world-class freelance photographer for National Geographic, will explore the fundamentals of creativity; what they are, how they exist in each of us, and how to remove the hurdles that prevent us from accessing them. Using a montage of spectacular images that he has captured during his 20-year career, Dewitt will show all of us how to see the world with new eyes and rediscover our own creative gifts.
The final day of your 2008 NEBC will feature a special general session on Thursday, Oct. 16, with renowned economist Stuart Varney. Varney, a FOX News Channel anchor and former host of several business shows including CNN's Moneyline, is a London School of Economics educated economist. His diverse background and experience uniquely qualifies him to address the rapidly shifting domestic and global economic trends, and the implications for you and your clients.
